Let us discuss this phenomenal thing called memory

In this age when you look up your own number in the mobile contacts, it is increasingly evident that the capacity of the human brain to remember, retain and to recollect is not put to good use (what with all the technical crutches available on which to lean on...always)

But like all things sharp, memory is blunted by lack of adequate and proper use.

There have been instances of youngsters losing sight of their own or their spouses birthdays if their digital calendars or computers crash.

Apart from all this memory, if not kept sharp enough will not breed a fertile ground of emotions, feelings, experiences, facts, figures and this combination is absolutely necessary for linear, convoluted, tangential or any other thinking that can lead to any kind of success in life.

Towards this end, I am starting a discussion on the composition, methodology and the well being of memory by a practicing psychiatrist and a renowned ayurvedic practitioner to indulge in a detailed debate and discussion on this amazing concept called memory.

Don't forget to watch this space and join in with comments, doubts and criticism.
